Hull #13 |

*** sunken *** As luck would have it with Hull #13 ... Number 13 is buried in the sand in a cove in the SW corner of Whale Cay, Berry Islands, Bahamas. I last observed just the transom poking out of the sand, and noted the serial number in mid 90's while anchored there. The story goes... A gypsy girl was infuriated with her boyfriend - who was drinking in the bar on
Chub Cay. Mad. She sailed to nearby Whale Cay and anchored in the still waters
of this tiny, pristine cove. A squall quickly came up causing the anchor to drag.
The boat beached and sunk in the sand, where she rests today forever wrestling
with the elements. A nasty reminder of how easily anchors drag in the thin sand
covered bottom in the Bahamas. Swab - |
