"Southern Star" - a Hood / Gulfstar 48 from 1977-78

Perhaps the only one of this type ever built - Built and raced in The SORC in 1978, came in middle of the fleetin Class A (just behind the Turner and Conner ).

Formerly named "Rockefeller" and currently now - named "Emotion"... you might possibly see this beauty sailing or racing in the Trois Rivieres area of the St. Laurence or on lake Ontario.

She rates a PHRF 89 which might be the fastest Gulfstar rating.  It's certainly good for 8's and 9's reaching off!
